We warmly invite singers of all backgrounds and skill levels to join the excitement. Before you step into the spotlight, please take a moment to read through the contest details, rules, and terms below. Let the music begin!
Eligibility
1. Open to individuals aged 16 and above.
2. Open to all nationalities.
3. Participants must be available for the Semi-final and Final live performances. Failure to attend will result in disqualification.
How to Join:
1. Download the Song & Lyrics.
– Get the Meet Live Main Theme -1 and lyrics from meetlive.my.
2. Download and install Meet Live App.
3. Record & Share Your Performance
– Record a video of yourself singing the Meet Live Main Theme.
– Share the video on Meet Live with hashtag #meetliveidol and select the category “Meet Live Idol” when posting.
4. Share your video links with your followers and supporters to collect as many likes as possible!
* Note: Users must install the Meet Live App to like videos.
Rules:
1. Full song performance is required. Half-song entries will be disqualified.
2. Rearrangement (e.g., R&B, Rock) is allowed.
3. Solo, duet, or group performances are allowed.
4. Lyrics & voice modifications are NOT allowed.
5. Strictly prohibited:
– Using other people’s videos
– Lip-syncing
– AI-generated voice modifications
Competition Rounds & Timeline
Round 1: Qualifying Round
– Date 7 May – 15 Jun 2025
– Requirement: Your contest video needs to receive a minimum of 27 “likes” to enter Round 2.
Round 2: Elimination Round
– Date: 16 June – 30 Jun 2025
– * Requirement: Your contest video needs to accumulate a minimum of 100 likes to qualify for Semi-Final.
– Selection: Top 40 contestants who meet the *Requirement with the highest number of likes advance to Semi-final.
Semi-Final: Live Singing Battle
Format:
– The 40 contestants will be divided into 4 groups — Group A, B, C, and D — with 10 contestants in each group.
– All contestants will perform live at Kelichap Studio (located in Batu Caves, Selangor), and they are required to stream their performance live on Meet Live.
* In the event that a contestant is unable to attend in person due to special circumstances (e.g., health issues, distance, etc.), they must contact the organizers at least 3 days in advance to request an alternative arrangement. Approval will be based on individual cases.
– Each contestant is required to perform Meet Live main theme song live, along with one self-selected song. (can be performed in any language)
– During the semi-final round, contestants will be required to stream their performance live on Meet Live. Contestants may encourage their fans to give likes while they are singing. The number of likes collected during the live stream will play an important role in the judging process.
– Only 7 finalists will be selected from the Semi-final, moving one step closer to the Meet Live Idol.
Dates of Semi-final:
– Group A: 5 July 2025 (Saturday)
– Group B: 6 July 2025 (Sunday)
– Group C: 12 July 2025 (Saturday)
– Group D: 13 July 2025 (Sunday)

Scoring Criteria:
– Judges’ Scores: 40%
– Accumulated Likes: 60%
Final: The Grand Performance
– Date: 20 July 2025 (Sunday) * time to be confirmed
– Location: Kuala Lumpur/Selangor (exact venue to be announced soon)
– Performance Requiremets:
· Perform the Meet Live main theme song, and
· One self-selected song (can be performed in any language)
– Finalists who are unable to attend the final event will not earn performance points, which may place them at a disadvantage in the final ranking.
– The entire final event will be streamed live on Meet Live.
– Fans and followers will be able to vote for their favourite finalists (Voting method to be announced soon). The number of votes received will contribute to the judging criteria and impact the final results.
Scoring Criteria:
– Judges’ Scores: 40%
– Accumulated Votes: 60%

1. Grand Prize (1st Place): RM5000
2. Second Prize: RM2700
3. Third Prize: RM1000
4. 4th – 7th Place: RM400
5. 8th – 20th Place: RM100
